FoCo Girls Gone Derby is Northern Colorado's premiere roller derby league, promoting teamwork, athleticism, and professional sportswomanship in the roller derby community.
The real deal
The athleticism, skill and strategy are real. The hip checks, whips and pushes are all real. The badass women who play the sport are real, and so are their bruises and fishnet rinkburn.
Roller derby is back and better than ever. FoCo Girls Gone Derby is Northern Colorado’s original roller derby league, founded in January of 2006. In 2009, FCGGD became the 67th league in the nation to be certified by the Women’s Flat Track Derby Association, the sport’s governing body.
FoCo's home teams bout regularly at Rollerland Skate Center. And the league's travel teams, the A-string FoCo Micro Bruisers and B-team Punchy Brewsters, compete against other leagues at home and on the road. The Micro Bruisers represent FoCo by striving for a national WFTDA ranking.
Dedicated skaters of every size, shape and occupation play this full-contact sport. Your co-worker, classmate, neighbor – maybe even your mom could be a derby player. True to derby tradition, each FoCo member adopts a skater name to reflect her toughness.
Whether you're one of our much-appreciated superfans, have never seen a bout or remember roller derby from your youth, join us for some authentic rough-and-tumble action. The outcome is unscripted, but you can count on having fun.
